Your vacation retreat is less than a mile away from the town center where you can shop, eat and sight-see. The options are endless. You can always relax outside on the deck. It overlooks the Big Thompson River and it's a common occurrence to see a wildlife parade as elk, deer and even wild turkeys walk by. If you're visiting during April/May, you might even spot baby elk being born just yards away from your back door. Never approach wildlife, especially around their babies, but know that you'll have VIP seating from the deck! You can also take a stroll on the trail that winds along the river bank for about 1/10th of a mile. There are many benches and even a table to enjoy a picnic from.

The Retreat is truly soothing and comfortable, with thoughtfully arranged mountain deco throughout. A beautiful wood fireplace is front and center in the living area, there's a 2 car garage and top-of- the-line appliances and amenities. With 3 bedrooms, it sleeps 6. Master bedroom has a King. Second bedroom, a Queen. Third bedroom, two twin beds. A porta crib is available if needed. Master bedroom is on the first level, overlooking the Big Thompson River. Second bedroom upstairs features a majestic mountain view. Third bedroom has two twin beds. All bedrooms have walk in 'customized' closets including built-in drawers for clothes. Master and Second bedroom have flat screen TVs. Loft on second level has large 50 inch TV. All have cable and WIFI is provided. There are 2.5 baths. The half bath is located on the main level off kitchen. Master bath has an all-tiled shower. Second bath is on upper level, with with tub/shower combo and easy access from bedrooms and loft area.

Maximum number of Guests is 6, including children of all ages. The tankless water heater provides great convenience, as the hot water never runs out. Another bonus that is unique, is that the River Retreat has air conditioning for your comfort during the warm summer months in Estes Park.

Fabulous Home on a Beautiful River!

Review Submitted: 6/29/2016

Our family of 5 stayed in this condo for a week in Estes Park and had a wonderful experience. The condo is lovely ... even prettier than the photos show. The house is immaculately clean, very nicely decorated, and very comfortable. And all set on a beautiful river that you can see from the windows and deck. Just a lovely setting and very close to town. We had a great time there. Sandra, the owner, was as nice as she could be, and was always just a phone call or a text message away. She met us at the house upon our arrival and showed us around ... just a very nice person and easily accessible if need be during your stay.

The house is absolutely lovely. It's as clean as it can be, totally modern and updated, a wonderful kitchen that can be used for preparing meals, very comfortable beds, a great living area, and a lovely deck overlooking the river. Just fantastic all around. Also a full size washer and dryer, which is so handy after hikes, etc. There is also a lovely walkway along the river with sitting areas, benches, etc. which we enjoyed everyday.

I can find no way to improve upon this property. If you need 2-3 bedrooms very near Estes Park, but with a quiet environment on the river, this is the place for you. Even though it is near town, it feels very far away. Sandra is the perfect hostess ... there if you need her, but not there if you don't. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and would recommend this place to anyone vacationing in Estes Park. We've rented numerous VRBO's and this is one of the best we've stayed at. you can't go wrong! Enjoy!

Anne, Eric and Family, thank you so much for the lovely review and most importantly so happy you had a great time in Estes and at my place. It was a pleasure to meet you and your beautiful family and I hope to see you again next time your travels bring you to CO... Sandra

Beautiful, restful, elegant living

Review Submitted: 9/6/2015

Such a beautiful, elegant townhome. My family of 4 was very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for up to 6 (plates, flatware, etc), but bring paper/plastic if attempting to feed a larger group. We couldn't believe the attention to detail and the decorator's sense that Sandra clearly brings to the place. Impressive!

The location is terrific with the river literally a few steps away and nice walking path through the area. My husband and son had success reel fishing in the river, but best suited for fly fishing. Elk routinely oame through at dusk to eat from the greenery and we even saw evidence of a bear having trudged through the neighborhood - muddy bear tracks on the driveway in the morning! Minutes to downtown Estes, though not necessarily a safe walk from the townhome due to the traffic coming/going to Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park.

Definitely a place to remember with my visiting family members from Denver taking note of it also for future stays!

The TH is immaculate in everyway.

Review Submitted: 6/7/2015

Sandra,

Let me start with I think I know what Heaven will be like. Your beautiful TH in Estes Park, CO.

Your website does not even come close to describing the attention to detail you have provided throughout the entire TH. Unlock the door, make yourself comfortable and enjoy your resort stay. You thought of EVERYTHING

My month long stay was filled with many beautiful memories to include all of the visiting Elk, Mule Deer, Chipmunk's and beautiful birds in your back yard.

To stay in your TH is a gift everyone should give themselves. I will certainly be back.

Becky, thank you for the beautiful review, so glad you had such a great time. I look forward to having you back, and thank you for taking such good care of my place. You treated it as if it was your home and I'm very grateful. Sandra

Beautiful vacation rental close near downtown

Review Submitted: 1/13/2015

My sisters and I had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful townhome in Estes Park. Sandra met us upon arrival to make sure the house was in perfect shape and to explain everything to us. That makes it so much easier than trying to figure it all out for ourselves. She was also very easy to contact if we had questions after she left. She has thought of absolutely everything necessary. There was tea and coffee and a vast array of spices and condiments available for our use. She also provided a very nice goodie basket and little welcome gifts for each of us. The decor is beautifully done, mountain style and the house was immaculate. The beds are very comfortable.

The townhouse is located on the river which runs through Estes Park. There is a nice trail along the river which leads to a fun coffee place. It is within 1/4 mile of downtown Estes, a grocery store and several restaurants. Easy access to the national park.

We are hoping to return every year!

Pat, thank you for the kind words... it was truly my pleasure and I look forward to seeing you all again this year. Have a great winter and spring!! .. Sandra

Perfect Estes Park Vacation Base

Review Submitted: 9/11/2013

This property was exactly as pictured (even better in real life). Everything was immaculate and all necessary amenities were provided. It is tastefully decorated and by far one of the nicest (if not the nicest) rentals we've ever stayed in. It was a perfect retreat to come home to each evening after days of fishing, kayaking, hiking, shopping, etc. It's very quiet and peaceful if you want to sit on the deck and listen to the river or want to have a fire in the fireplace on chilly evenings. It's conveniently located between the RMNP entrance and downtown Estes Park. It's within walking distance of downtown. Sandra made you feel like you were a welcome visitor in her home. She's thought of everything. We will definitely stay here when we return to Estes Park and would highly recommend it to others.

Lynn, thank you for the lovely review and kind words. I am so glad that you and Dave had such a great time... that's what vacations are suppose to be about! ;-)It was very nice to meet you both and I hope to see you again in the near future. .. SandraP.S.Good luck with your remodeling! ;-)

Would highly recommend . Property was clean and accurately described. The location was perfect for hiking and going into town. Nice that you could walk since parking can sometimes be a problem in town. I spent one month here and would definitely repeat stay. Thank you Sandra for your great customer service.

Convenient Condo near Estes Park

Review Submitted: 8/10/2011
Photos provided give an accurate representation of the unit. What you don't see are the convenient one car garage parking, the 360 degree mountain/river views, the short drive to downtown Estes Park, the wifi access, and the deer/elk that wander by. With one bedroom up and a second on the main floor, each of two couples who shared the condo had a degree of privacy. The place was spotless. Furniture was good quality. Kitchen was well stocked. The owner was there to greet us and to answer questions. Rocky Mountain National Park was nearby. Trail Ridge Road gave breathtaking views, but I found the alluvial fan area fascinating. It was there a local earthen dam ruptured in the 80s spewing rocks and trees as if they were pebbles and toothpicks. Now families climb uphill to get a better view of the roaring waterfall as kids focus on the mounting the boulders. We attended only one RMNP ranger presentation (about Big Horn Sheep) late in the week. If I could do it again, I'd check the flyer the Park Service provides at the entrances and take advantage of more of those informative nature sessions. We are seniors. Two of us found the river walk through Estes Park and around the lake to the Lodge delightful. The other two found waiting on the Lodge's deck sipping iced tea also delightful. All four of us enjoyed a great lunch there afterward. Couldn't beat the views. If you want to shop, go in the morning when the crowds are smaller. There are a great variety of stores. The library is also worth a stop. They have computer access if you don't bring your laptop. We found all the groceries we needed at the local Safeway. Even if you're from out of state, fill out a quick form and they'll give you a shoppers' card that allows for their sale prices. A good vacation is a combination of "seeing" and "being". Most days we spent the mornings and early afternoons doing the former. Lunch was our big meal. Then we'd relax at the condo, graze, play cards, and watch the river go by.
Mary and Family, thank you for the generous words, it warms my heart to know all of you had such a great time, and enjoyed the accomadations I provide. I hope you are able to return sometime in the future, it was a pleasure meeting all of you. Thanks again for the review! ...Sandra

Another fabulous stay in Estes

Review Submitted: 8/2/2011
This was our second time staying in Sandra's lovely home (last stay was in June, 2010 - see other post). Once again, we had a fabulous trip to Estes and a perfect home to return to each night. Sandra is a treat to work with and her home is the perfect, peaceful retreat. We traveled with my parents, husband and 2 boys, ages 9 & 6. We enjoyed our hikes in RMNP (and a seperate hike to summit Mt. Bierstadt with just my husband), and returning each evening to relax on the deck to hear the Big Thompson river right outside the back and watch the elk as we grilled out and played cards. We would highly recommend Sandra's place for your trip to Estes (just don't take our weekend! - kidding). With all the personal touches Sandra provides, we truly feel like it's our second home, with plans to return any time we travel to Estes.
Amy, you and your family are very sweet, many thanks for the kind words! It's wonderful having you guys come and stay at my place... and I'm so glad you had another great time this year. I'm very blessed to have so many great people stay at my townhome and it's nice to know you feel at home there as well.I look forward to seeing you and the rest of the family next year... thanks again for the lovely review! .. Relaxing Home Away from Home

Review Submitted: 7/11/2011
This was a first time visit to Estes Park for my husband and I - I can assure you it won't be our last! One of the joys of our trip was being able to come home everyday to this wonderful condo. We are avid animal lovers and were thrilled that elk frequented the backyard almost daily. The Big Thompson River and a nice grove of pine trees are right in the backyard. During the heat of the day the elk enjoyed napping in the copse of pine trees - we had as many as six one day enjoying the shade together!Sandra has beautifully decorated her home with every creature comfort needed. The property is clean, comfortable and spacious. The condo is in a quiet location and only minutes from the entrance to RMNP and downtown Estes Park for shopping and dining. We had the added pleasure of having an Arts Festival in the downtown park area over Memorial Day weekend - lots of good shopping! We thoroughly enjoyed the Ghost Tour at the Stanley Hotel & our daily trips into RMNP. The mountains were majestic and still thoroughly covered in snow.We plan on visiting Estes Park again some day and will definitely consider staying here again.
Tina, thank you for the wonderful words and most importantly I'm so glad that you and Cecil had a great time in Estes and at my place. I hope your 'kitties' didn't miss you so much that you'll be back in the near future!! ;-) .... Sandra

Perfect Place to Stay

Review Submitted: 9/25/2009

This thoughtfully furnished townhome offers all of the comforts of home. After a day of hiking, our family enjoyed returning "home" to relax in our own spaces. My husband stepped out back to fly fish just steps from the deck. The kids holed up upstairs in "their" loft. I surfed the Internet checking the ever changing weather forecast and places to go.

As first time visitors to Rocky Mountain, we found the national park enchanting. We don't often repeat vacations. However, we would make an exception if we could return again in late-August when the crowds are down and if we could book another week at this beautiful townhome.

Thanks Stephanie and Family, I'm so glad you all had such a great time in Estes and in my townhome. I look forward to seeing you all again in the future! ..Sandra
